Our Commitments
The SRPA membership commit themselves to support social upliftment of local communities of South Africa’s, Eastern Cape. Members can be individually contacted to learn more about each companies social responsibility contributions.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
SRPA members commit to providing financial or ‘inkind’ sponsorship to orginisations within local communities that aid in social development.
TRAINING INITIATIVES
SRPA members commit to aiding in the training and development of aspirational members of local communities
COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT
SRPA members commit to preferentially employ local community members for avaliable work positions throughout the duration of the Sardine Run season
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
SRPA members commit to provide further ongoing tourism education throughout the sardine run season to locally employed community members with a high level of on-the-job training. This will ensure on-going experience levels within the tourism sector
